Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Ashley Renee Makeup. Let me tell you a little bit about myself . . . here we go . . .

My name is Ashley Mearns. For the past several years, I have been working as a paralegal in a law firm. Makeup has always been something I enjoyed doing. It was on my wedding day in September of 2018 that I thought to myself, I think this is something that I could pursue, and make a career out of! I realized it wasn’t enough for me to be able to apply makeup on myself, that was the easy part. A little time had passed post-wedding, and in October of 2019 I decided to attend Blanche Macdonald. I learned so many amazing tips and tricks of the trade that have enabled me to pursue my passion. I graduated from Blanche Macdonald in July of 2021, and have been pursuing this dream ever since. The joy it brings me to apply makeup for a wedding, special event, engagement, whatever is special to you, seeing the end result and the happiness I see on the client’s face is the best part of the job.

When I am not wearing my makeup artistry hat, I’m usually thinking about planning my next skiing excursion, taking care of my cat, Gizmo, planning a trip abroad with my husband, making some jewellery in my free time, or playing the piano.

Well, it’s all history from there.

Whether it be for your Wedding day or another special event you will be attending - where months and years from now you look upon those photos, I want you to look back fondly and think “Wow I look good!”

Here I am wanting to share that feeling with whomever I am given the opportunity!
